A Joy of life

Today I watched these videos, and now it is your turn. :D

Pink Floyd - Life in Pompeii

The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Electric Ladyland Part 1

The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Electric Ladyland Part 2
The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Electric Ladyland Part 3

It was reintroduced to me the fact that music can be made by anything and everything that is capable of making any kind of sound. It's mind blowing to me how these artist come up with these sounds of beautifully composed, magical-experimental-passionate pieces of musical amazingness. Jimi would have this sound in his head and would use anything and everything he could find to translate it into a reality. He used a comb and cellophane to make the sound of a kazoo in Crosstown traffic. The members of Pink Floyd used a howling dog to harmonize wonderfully with David Gilmour's harmonica and Roger Water's guitar in Mademoiselle Nobs. A DOG!

I also watched another Hendrix dvd which was about Band of Gypsys. Throughout Jimi's career he wanted people of all races to experience his music, but at that time the majority of the black community were not into rock n roll, so he struggled to get the people of his own race to accept him. Band of Gypsys was a band of three black men composed of Jimi Hendrix on guitar and vocals, Billy Cox on bass guitar, and Buddy Miles on drums and vocals. Their music had a much more funky sound than The Jimi Hendrix Experience and I especially love Buddy Mile's voice. Oh its beautiful. Particularly on Them Changes. oh I love it.

Oh music is bliss.
I hope you enjoy this post as much as I do.
