Deeeeeeath Canyon

2 days ago I hiked about 5 miles into the mountains around Death Canyon. AHHh it was super great. I really need to get a field book so that I can start identifying things. Specially fungi!!!!!! It's gonna happen. But there was A LOT of amazing tree bark...and I have documentation.


So the lake is Phelps Lake.

This little guy is a marmot. Supposedly he's a pretty lazy dude.





He's a pika. Kind of like a chinchilla.



Wolf spider. Except he look a LOT bigger than he really was.
